The Booming Tourism in Asia

If you are looking for the perfect getaway for the summer or holidays, the best place to be at is anywhere in Asia. Asia’s tourism for the past decade has grown in such a manner that Asian countries are among the top destinations in the world.

There is no doubt that the tourism industry plays a big role in the economic development of countries.  The services and income provided by the tourism industry provides valuable contribution to the economy by promoting employment and commerce. Torn between stiff competition and the current global economic crisis, it becomes imperative in tourism industry to maintain and raise revenues while maintaining the quality of services expected by both foreign and local tourists.

To date, most of the frequently visited countries are in Asia. Middle East countries such as Israel and Jordan are famous for their rich history.  Indonesia is known for its paradise islands and beaches with crystal blue water and white sands that tourists really love. Tourists who prefer serene places and religious temples and mosques opt to go to Cambodia, India, United Arab Emirates and Thailand. There is a special condition in these countries in that visitors, especially women, modestly dress and act respectably when they are in places of worship. Thailand, however, is also popularly known for its world-class resorts, tropical forests and nice beaches were there are no prohibitions or restrictions on the type of clothing while thereat. China is also attracting visitors from the west with its ancient monuments, the most famous of which is the Great Wall of China. Those who are into shopping prefer Hongkong or Macau. When it comes to price though, Malaysia offers reasonable costs for its hotels and resorts.

Furthermore, the United Arab Emirates is now being dubbed as a leader in holiday destination in the history of the travel industry per the report of the World Trade Organization with Dubai as its main attraction. Dubai hotels have also attracted various hotel investors and real estate developers because of the highest RevPaR the hotels are receiving worldwide.  The international chains of luxurious hotels established in the UAE brought about by the dynamic growth are also attracting more and more tourists from around the world. For some reason, while it may be true that the spiraling growth in hotel supply in UAE is based on a promising target, the positive results would show that the hotel chains are on the right track.

In Asia, economic records tend to show that tourism is among the biggest employment generators in the region.  With the increasing influx of foreign and local tourists over the years, tourism began offering great potential to the industry.  Travelers began taking interests in visiting the countries and so the hotel and hospitality sectors had also began offering the best kind of services and affordable price range.

This exponential growth could be linked to innovative hotel designs and spectacular views which are being created, modified and diversified from time to time, thus attracting diverse architects and talented people from the industry. The success and  growth in the tourism industry in Asia was mainly due to openings by chained hoteliers owned by world famous developers and owners, including both local players and internationally respected brands. With positive tourism projections and feedbacks, investment continues to pour into this booming sector.
